NANTES

President's editorial

The Jean Delaire Institute invites you on 8-9-10 June 2023 to the Cité des Congrès in Nantes, for its second congress.

After the success of the first edition in Paris in June 2021, which brought together more than 200 people and 15 sponsors, despite major health constraints, the 2023 congress will celebrate the centenary of the Master of the Nantes School of Stomatology, in a spirit of sharing knowledge and multidisciplinarity.

We will explore themes that animate rehabilitators, orthodontists and surgeons alike, anxious to establish reliable diagnoses and effective treatment plans: facial and postural asymmetries, anterior openbite, temporo-mandibular disorders are all frequent medical situations that require a common language between practionners and a word that is understandable and reassuring for patients. These topics will be addressed through expert lectures, round table discussions and training workshops.

The care pathway for children with an oro-facial birth defect, such as cleft lip and palate or ankyloglossia, also involves various actors. It will bring together paediatricians, rehabilitators, ultrasound technicians, midwives, ortho- and pedodontists and surgeons for interdisciplinary exchanges and practical workshops.

The rehabilitation of anterior dental agenesis and edentulous patients with malformations will be the subject of practical workshops and didactic controversies.

Finally, as for the 2021 edition, the Jean Delaire Institute will put the sponsors in the spotlight with training workshops in orthodontics, surgery and rehabilitation. These workshops will be open to students and practitioners wishing to improve their skills.

Welcome in Nantes for the 2023 Jean Delaire Congress!
